Hello,
I am the treasurer of SAVE, MIT's environmental club. Every year we make notebooks out of Athena header pages to sell, at cost, to the student body. This involves many hours of scouring clusters' recycling bins for header pages. We think we can save a lot of time and make more notebooks if we put special boxes for headerpages near each printer in addition to the regular recycling bins. Judging from the number of people who are excited about our notebooks, we think lots of people would put their headerpages into our box instead of the bin, and even if we have to weed out junk from the headerpages it will still be less time-consuming than weeding header pages out of junk.
So my question to the hotline it, are we allowed to put such specially labeled boxes in the clusters? They would be construction-paper-covered Xerox boxes, most likely, and we think to empty them at least once a week, pending on how fast we find them filling up. We would only place them in the biggest clusters.
We would really appreciate being allowed to do this, it would save us a lot of effort!
Thanks,
Stephanie Thomas
