Subject: 146034 RE: problem
Technical Support Reference Number: 146034
Dear Kazutaka,
I am writing in response to your email of Wednesday, October 15, 1997,
regarding the segmentation violation you are receiving in MATLAB.
We have seen this problem occur on a Sun workstation running Solaris
2.5. It is fixed in v2.0 of the Symbolic Math Toolbox, available for
use with MATLAB 5.1.
If you have an older version of the Symbolic Toolbox, please see the
following:
There is maplemex.mexsol file available via our anonymous ftp site at:
ftp://ftp.mathworks.com/pub/mathworks/toolbox/symbolic/maplemex.mexsol
This file replaces the file $MATLAB/toolbox/symbolic/maplemex.mexsol
(where $MATLAB refers to the MATLAB root directory), and should fix
the problem.
The new file has the same name as the old file, but a different size.
The size of the new file is 705036 bytes.
If you have further questions regarding this issue, please be sure to
mention the above Technical Support Reference Number in your e-mail
response to me.
Sincerely,
Patti Foote
Technical Support Engineer
