continuing problems with diskette drive

Earlier today, your repairman replaced a defective diskette drive in my Sun
SparcClassic in Room 1-271. Unfortunately, I am now unable to read ANY
diskette whatsoever on the new drive. I get messages such as the following
20:29 fd0: unformatted diskette or no diskette in the drive
20:29 fd0: read failed (40 1 0)
20:29 fd0: bad format
20:29 fd0: read failed (40 1 0)
20:29 fd0: bad format
Yes, the diskette I used is properly formated, and yes, I tried several
different ones, to no avail.
