The print server mulch.mit.edu has now been updated to the 8.1 athena
release, with corresponding print software updates. The notable
user-visible changes are:
- FrameMaker and PDF files spooled directly will be rejected
in the same manner as spooled DVI files.
- Jobs misspooled to mulch (which are destined for
non-kerberized queues) will now be properly forwarded to the correct
print server.
We plan to continue to update the other athena print servers. We plan
to be finished with the updates before the start of the academic term.
