Hi--
I'm having a problem with a Sun 3/80 in my lab, and
I was hoping someone could help me out.
The Sun crashed several weeks ago, and (long story) when
we finally rebooted it it gave us a message "sd:device not found"
which I think means it can't find the hard drive. My question is,
is this necessarily a hardware problem, or could it be software?
(I know that when the system crashes it sometime loses critical
boot files.)
Does anyone have any experience in booting crashed
machines like this? I'm stuck.
Thanks,
Karl
