Power Outage

At approximately 5:40pm, the MIT campus experienced a major electrical
outage resulting from a fault out of the Comm. Elec. Kendall
Sub-Station. Power was restored at 7:00pm for a short period before a
second outage was experienced. This resulted from a failure in a
second Comm. Elec. Sub-Station at Putnam. By 10:00pm the power was
completely restored to the campus.
