The machine m33-220a-1 keeps freezing on the "welcome to athena"
screensaver of the login screen. The machine does not respond
to stop-a so just has to be power cycled. The machine was doing
this periodically before the update to athena 8.1, but it
has become far more frequent. Once the machine is power cycled,
nothing whatsoever appears in the error logs to indicate what
happened to it. Unfortunately it is currently down and I am
2500 miles away from it so I can't tell you what exact version
of 8.1 it is running. (Phyllis, can you power cycle the machine
please?)

Since I am 2500 miles away from the machine could someone *please*
respond to this email (yes, not Phyllis, someone from hotline)
and tell me what, if anything, has been done. I was suspecting
a possible memory problem before that was causing the freezing
of the machine (and I mean completely frozen, no response to ping,
nothing, dead, gone), but with the increased frequency of it after
the update I'm not sure what to think anymore.

Thank you.
