There were several 1410 messages regarding poor print quality and clicking
noises from this HP 4SI today. Sue Delaney (X3-0779) has stressed the need
for good quality due to Thesis printouts. I have contacted PCService, and the
earliest they could look at this printer would be next Monday. The failure
sounded like a faulty toner and or fuser. I have communicated with PCService,
and have made the repair myself. I have installed a new maint.kit, and have
also found that the new toner kit installed today was defective. Both items
have been taken care of, and Sue Delanney will be contacting Brian Murphy,
most likely on Monday, with a new user maint kit to replace the one I had
installed. She is now a happy camper, with excellent print quality.
