Fawyn Herd and Debi Fuchs' SparcStation 4, shim-sham.mit.edu,
needs help. It often seems to be very busy, even when no one
is using it and no one seems to be logged in remotely (as
determined by me typing "finger @shim-sham.mit.edu"). It is
so slow that I can hardly even type this message now. The
hard disk is churning away.

I believe we were told to let someone know when it happened
again so the problem could be diagnosed. It's happening again.
I expect it will keep happening until we reboot, and then it will
be fine for a short while and then the problem will resurface.

Could someone pay us a visit?

Thanks,
-Debi Fuchs
