Hi all,
At approx 10:15, I was notified by P.P. that 4-035 was taking in much
water, and to meet the mechanic at the scene. Tony (P.P.), and myself had
evaluated the situation. Tony had found a rotted pipe behind the A ZONE room
directly across from the 4-035 facility. P.P. was unable to reach any steam
fitters to come in for the repair. Tony determined that the situation was
critical, and needed to be addressed now. Tony (HVAC) will stay and make the
necessary repairs, which will alow us to keep the 4-035 facility open.
Bldg Services is in the process of cleaning up water in 4-035, mostly
contained to the M4-035-1 & 2 areas. I have moved the power strip for these
systems from the floor to the table top. Currently, their is no safety issue
for students and the hardware. I have set up plan, and a backup plan with
Bldg Services. All is under control, and I do not anticipate any problems
with the issue at hand. However, if things should go sour, Bldg Services will
be in touch with Brian Murphy, and Brian will put his plan into effect.
CSR's, please make a visual inspection of the 4-035 facility first thing in
the a.m.
                        Thanks Much,
                                   --Lou
