The keyboard does nothing on this machine:
does not activate xlogin from screensaver mode
no keypresses are registered
The mouse works to move the pointer and to activate xlogin
and ancillary menus, menu buttons etc.
The workstation works otherwise (it is a private rlogin server as
well).
MACHINE: PASTEUR.MIT.EDU, a VAXstation 3100, BUILDING E25-131.
