This machine, m56-129-22, makes a noticable vibrating sound when the
hard disk is being used. (The noise is different from the usual
humming and clicking that I expect the drive to make.) The
vibrations can also be felt if you set your hand on the machine
while it is working.
If you are so inclined, you may want to come take a look at it.
