problem with sun-sparc machine

Hi
We got a sun sparc classic installed here yesterday. The machine name
is ghidora. The Athena people just plugged it in and left. I could
not log on. I then rebooted and the machine worked for a little while.
Now it has lost contact to all file servers etc. and it does not work
again.
Please look into this.
