Question:
sum-1.mit.edu has a screwy mouse terminal connection - very often the
machine is not frozen, but the mouse freezes leaving use incapable of even
logging out.
sum-2.mit.edu has a weird keyboard - some keys need to be hit rather forcefully
to make them appear on the screen - for e.g. 5 and {}
