printer problems

Hi.
There are problems with ceres and ajax in the student center.
at the lpq prompt Ceres says:
PAPER-PUSHER.MIT.EDU... Printer Error: may need attention! (offline or intervention needed)
However, there is nothing wrong with ceres on the console of the printer.
Likewise ajax says there is nothing wrong on the console yet at lpq:
PAPER-PUSHER.MIT.EDU... Printer Error: may need attention! (paper out)
and it is not out of paper....
