Only one of Atlas' exported partitions is near full: /u2. I moved
deactivated accounts onto that partition at the end of November.
Those lockers had been deactivated for a long time, and by all rights
should have been deleted already. But the only reasonable way to make
sure no one was still using (modifying) those files was to make their
attempts fail, and see if anyone complained. (Some people's homedirs
are used to store other people's work, though they shouldn't be.)
By coincidence, the lockers moved to atlas:/u2 filled the partition to
over "100%" (really 91%), which would cause an error if anyone tried
to modify or add files there. As I said before, the option was that
those lockers not be available at all (removed from disk by now).
When any of those accounts were turned on, they needed to be moved off
the partition. I should have made this clear to Accounts, because
they apparently didn't realize the problems caused by simply turning
one of the accounts back on.
These 11 are the only active lockers on atlas:/u2 (as of last night's
Hesiod propagation):
