I'm sorry to say minstrel is not fixed. It was working when they were
here, and I was convinced that it was fixed. However, this afternoon
when I tried to log in I found that it had dropped off the net again.
This is consistent with its previous symptoms of periodically working
then not working. No one but me has attempted to use the machine
since they were here, and in fact the tape seals Telecomm put on are
still in place. I'm not sure what the problem is; perhaps where the
Lanview box plugs into the VAX? Disconnecting the box and then
reconnecting it used to (temporarily) solve the problem. I haven't
tried that since they fixed it, preferring to leave it untouched.
