T
his is a known problem and is pretty easy to fix but I forget exactly how.
Mike Barker or Mark Virtue should be able to say what to do- I think you just
need to run a short fixup script on the machine.

Subject: Alias doesn't work in Rotch

Alex,
Hi. Another day...another bug. I've installed the license codes for Alias on
the 8 machines in the Rotch library. All seems to be set up correctly, except
that Alias just doesn't run on rotch-35.mit.edu. The software doesn't give
any errors. I just don't get any windows coming up after over 15 minutes.
The software does run fine on rotch-36.mit.edu. I haven't tested out all the
other machines yet. I tried to run gr_osview on rotch-35 and got a GL
error.(GL: this machine has the wrong /usr/lib/libgl.so installed (is:NG1,
needs:GR2)) Perhaps the system software is not up to date on this machine.
Please check this out as soon as you can.
Thanks,
- -Jeff
