We checked out the CD-ROM in E40-342c and it had a mechanical
problem, so we got another on the way. I dropped by to swap CD-ROMs this
morning and another problem arose. With the new CD-ROM, the system could not
recognize any CDs. We tried different CD-ROM and different cable - no go.
I had to replace the logic board as well.

Log #s: For CD-ROM - R9031

Subject: SGI CD-ROM problem

The CD-ROM drive on the SGI in my office (kindness in E40-342c) does not
eject. Mark Virture tried a number of things and concluded it was a
hardware problem, and said I should contact you.

Hi Kyle -

Please take a look at the above system when you get a chance.
This is an external cdrom.
