Partly-Cloudy's Sun Type 5 keyboard is on the verge of death. Many
key presses or releases result in the syslog message:
partly-cloudy unix: WARNING: kbd: Unknown keyboard type, Type 3
and the key press or release appears to be ignored (e.g. "Alt" gets
stuck on, or a letter auto-repeats). This is not a coke-accident
problem. The keys go up and down just fine -- but the signal to the
computer appears to be faulty. I haven't had problems with the mouse,
though, and swapping keyboards did fix the problem.
For a replacement, I need the same kind of keyboard, which is not your
normal Sun Type 5 keyboard -- it has a PC keyboard layout (the tilde
key in the upper LEFT corner of the main block of keys)..
