Scarpa in N52 was having the same ecc/parity error that I saw for the
first time yesterday and I think it is the same fix. I have replaced
the logic board in the machine and it is past the ecc/parity error.
Now it is coming up to an error that has been related to
damaged software before. About a month ago, a couple of machines in
bldg 4 had this error and software reinstalls fixed the problem. The
problem is a PANIC: Kernal Fault and it also has an error message that
says "Software deteced SEGV."
I am going to leave this one open until one of you guys can
check this out.

Hi Wade -
In regards to the mssg you left us last week about scarpa.
I could not find any report of scarpa being down in our
hotline DB or our resolved DB. Generally once a hardware
problem has been reported to us at 3-1410 or email hotline@mit.edu
you should expect us on site that day or the next as long as
it's not the weekend, so you should not be waiting a month
Someone from hotline will come out and check on that

BTM and JV checked this out the other day it's a 4600 according
to JV and a install failed, network may not be setup to install
SGI's.

Juan and I tried to install this system and were getting ecc parity err's.
I am forwarding this to PCservice and have already given Kyle a heads up
on the situation.
