m66-080-14 exhibits the following behavior:
i run:
athena% /usr/demos/Inventor/SceneViewer /usr/share/data/models/Banana.iv
i see:
Reading input file...done.
(and then nothing else... (no SceneViewer window opened))
from ps -elf:
30 R luka 13216 13166 80 100 20 * 2836:1086 21:03:02 pts/1
0:38 /usr/demos/Inventor/SceneViewer /us
so SceneViewer is running but isn't doing anything visible to me.
other programs are also flaky.

also, under some circumstances i can't always reproduce, but seems to
be brought on by running things from the SGI desktop menu, the
display gets messed up in such a way that horizontal blocks of yellow/white
appear across the screen. the display can quickly become illegible.
moving windows around or selecting menu items once this starts makes things
worse.
actually, running showcase seems to be a pretty reliable way to
trigger this behavior...
i rebooted (by way of shutting down windowing, logging in as root, and
executing shutdown), but to no avail.
m66-080-16 acts similarly, but i haven't messed with it as extensively.
m66-080-15 is fine
on 15, /etc/athena/version is
