	I went to replace the HD on the aforementioned machine.  When I
started the system up after putting in the new hard drive, it kicked into 
the network install mode (I'm guessing) for Athena.

	In any case, I sat next to it for 1.5 hours while it did all
sorts of thiongs and as a result, the machine is up and running.  I am
writting this note from the machine and it seems to be working fine.
