System names: w20-575-60 (and 61, 59, 58, 57, etc)
Type and version:	sun4m_54 8.0
Display type: (dunno, I'm not in front of one)

What were you trying to do?
Just program, read news/discuss, zwrite, play games, etc.
        i.e., standard workstation usage

What's wrong:
At intermittent times (say every 10-15 minutes), the
monitor/display would suddenly flicker and act as if
someone had powered it off and then back on in under
a second. This had the effect of the screen display
suddenly "shrinking in" on itself by a few inches on
each side and then popping back to normal size.

Quite disturbing. This was not continual "blinking"
and the power to the CPU was not interrupted. Also,
it happened at random times to the people who were
sitting next to and around me (i.e., these occurences
were not simultaneous and appeared to be random).

Are the monitors being overdriven or something? As
another note, it was fairly quiet in the Student Center
cluster when I was there -- there wasn't anyone messing
around with the cabling or kicking and stomping their
feet or stretching out their legs.

What should have happened:
	Certainly not that.

Please describe any relevant documentation references:
See any other previous monitors/displays we've used.
