While logged on to a Sun Sparcstaion 5, m2-032-16, at about 3:30pm on Saturday,
June 29th, the screen froze. I had been typing in emacs v19.30 at the time,
while remotely logged in to a Sparcstation 20 (finger @buran for more info on
that machine) in the Space Engineering Research Center (SERC) in in an MIT
aero/astro lab. ANSYS/ED (a fintie element analysis program) and xzewd were
also open, and an xterm window connected to buran, the sparc20. The machine
first stopped responding to the keyboard, which I thought was a problem with
emacs, so I moved the mouse pointer to an ANSYS/ED window and tried to type,
but that window didn't respond either. The mouse also stopped responding, so I
could not log myself out.
