Hi. I've been working on squeteague at Woods Hole Oceanographic (IP number
128.128.16.221) and this is the second day that my screen has frozen. Some
people who were logged in remotely also had their screens freeze up--the
cursor wouldn't move, return wouldn't work, etc. The Athena contact down
here rebooted the machine (and all the people that were logged on remotely
were either happy or peeved depending on whether there screens were also
frozen or not).
My screen got stuck again today and when I logged onto the neighboring
terminal (tautog), then squeteague became unfrozen. I'm not sure if this
is related or just pure coincidence.
The following message came up on the console window on squeteague:
NOTICE: zs3:ring buffer overflow.
What does this mean, and what can I do to prevent the above from happening
again??
Thank you,
Dana
