Key point: If you want to install

	solaris 2.3 -- use solar2 (18.159.0.21)
	solaris 2.4 -- use solar (18.159.0.28)

In preparation for installation of sparc4 systems, solar (18.159.0.28)
has been modified to install solaris 2.4 (Athena 8.0).

solar2 (18.159.0.21) can be used to install sparc5 systems with
solaris 2.3 (Athena 7.7)

When we move to field release (currently scheduled for July 9), solar2
will be changed to install solaris 2.4 (Athena 8.0)

So right now, if you install a machine using solar, it automatically
gets the solaris 2.4/athena 8.0. This MUST be used with sparc4, and
can be used for test machines (a few beta test machines now, and early
test machines after June 18).

From now until field release, we will maintain the skewed set of
installers.

Thanks
Mike

  As of now :

    To install/reinstall a Solaris machine :

        use solar (18.159.0.28) to install/reinstall with 8.0
(only this should be used for Sparc 4)

        use solar2 (18.159.0.21) to install/reinstall with 7.7
