"bud2" doesn't seem to work properly

Howdy all,

I believe that the lpr switch "-Pxxx2" is supposed to send files to
the printer "xxx" for double-sided printing.

For some reason, this isn't working for the printer "bud" -- i.e.,
"lpr -Pbud2 filename" does NOT send the file to bud.

Actually, I'm not sure where it's sending it -- if anywhere. When I try
"lpr -Pbud2 filename" the command seems to be fine (no errors
are reported) but the file doesn't seem to have gone anywhere:

  athena% lpq
  PAPER-PUSHER.MIT.EDU... no entries in bud
  athena% lpq -Pbud
  PAPER-PUSHER.MIT.EDU... no entries in bud
  athena% lpq -Pbud2
  ARBOR-EATER.MIT.EDU... no entries in bud2

I tried this from my SGI, and I had Sharon Belville try it from her Sun
(logged in as herself), and in neither case did a file appear at bud,
so it seems to be a general problem.

I ran the consult locker lpr2 program and it DID send a file to bud
for double-sided printing, so it doesn't have to do with bud's ability
to receive double-sided requests per se.

Can this be fixed?

(By the way, is there some significance to the fact that
PAPER-PUSHER.MIT.EDU controls the queue for "bud", while
ARBOR-EATER.MIT.EDU [apparently...'] controls the queue for "bud2"?)

Thanks,
--Kevin
