The following is a critical shutdown request for next Tuesday. Would
you please advise if this is acceptable either via return email with a
cc to IN%"sdverify@mit.edu, or via phone X8-6651.
Building: E1, E2, E3, E10, E20
System: Steam system supplies heating systems for all bldgs.
dorm hot water, sterilizer.
Dat: 4/2/96
Day: Tuesday
Time: *between 7:00 - 11:00 AM or 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Duration: 4 hours
Reason: Leak in distribution piping under ground on Ames St.
Effect: Loss of hot domestic (except E1), heating hot water
and low pressure steam.
*Weather dependant: if outside air temperature is under 50 degrees, will
wait unil it gets to 50 degrees.
Final decision on implementing will be made on Monday, 4/1 and
notification will be made to all involved.
