Hi. It appears as though we're having some printer difficulties here at WHOI.
Below is some backround info. I'm also experiencing this. Just for the heck of
it, I rebooted tautog, the printer server for scallop, but that had no effect.

Eric,
I Wrote to you previously about the Athena printer, and you wrote back that
you had tried to work out what was wrong, but didn't have any problems...
Well, here's the deal:
I spent all of Friday with Athena On-Line Consulting trying to see if it was
something in MY dotfiles that would mess it up. The consensus was no... and
then when Sheri White (on menhaden) and Liz Kujawinski (on squeteague)
also got the same message about the printer queue being disabled, I realized
that it was NOT just me.
I've tried enscript and lpr but both give the same result:
athena% enscript -fCourier8 -Pscallop2 3816
[ 2 pages * 1 copy ] spooled to scallop2
Printer queue is disabled.
athena% lpr -Pscallop2 3816
Printer queue is disabled.
athena% enscript 3816
enscript: 1 lines were wrapped because of length.

The above I tried just now from tautog. So I have been on all three Athena
terminals in Clark and have been unable to print from any of them. Included
is what "help" I got from OLC.

They said to log out and log in again choosing to ignore any customizations
from the log-in menu (however, this is a pain if you are already logged
in and doing many jobs). This worked on Friday from tautog, but since
I had a ton of work on MATLAB and didn't want to log out on squeateague
on Friday, I didn't try this on squeteague.
I need to print my graphs from MATLAB to be able to continue with my
thesis work. The sooner this problem can be fixed, the better.
