Hi, we've been having some problems with the thesis printer in 11-115,
I don't know if others have written to you, but here are three
problems that I have seen:
1) the printer seems to randomly spit out up to three blank pages
in the middle of printing out a job, so you have to go through your
printout and remove all the blank pages.
2) the pages come out of the printer so fast that they occasionally
get out of order while falling into the tray. This is really a
pain when someone prints out a very large job, such as a thesis.
3) this one is interesting: occasionally, jobs are sent to the
printer where the lines go beyond the edge of the page, and lpr
does not line wrap them. So, a page is printed with a 1/4" boundary
of white around the edge, with the long lines just cut off. This
is just like the 4sii. Then, the next page that the printer prints
out is text only in the 1/4" boundary where it should not print, but
that's it.
Thanks for looking into this.
