Between 12:01am and 12:30am on the morning of Friday, January 26
(that's Thursday night), there will be a brief network outage for all
of SIPB's server machines while we upgrade the SIPB server network.
We hope that no machine will be off the net for longer than twenty
seconds or so (so that few people will notice), but there is always a
possibility of problems.
The machine charon.mit.edu (serving many discuss meetings, primarily)
may experience a longer outage while we simplify its connection to the
building network.
