Hi, this is Park.
I'm the SPURS Fellow of DUSP.
We have SUN in our office(Rm 7-401, Tel:x3-4510).
Yesterday, one of my fellows tried to download some graphic file from internet.
But it suddenly stucked. The floppy disk didn't eject.
So, I rebooted this system. After this, whenever I tried to connect Athena by
typing my user name and password, there were some messages like "Login
Incompleted." When I tried to click "continue", the message told me "home
directory couldn't be attached". After I clicked "continue" again, I could see
some messages in console; "Bad version number in urs/tmp/attachtab", "quota:
aborting" like that.
I telephoned to Consulting Hotline. She told me that something wrong in
hardware. She also recommended me to telephone to Hardware Hotline. So, I
telephoned to Hardware Hotline TWICE. And I left my Message on answering
machine. But still, there were no answers. What should we gonna do?
We have 15 Fellows sharing this ONE machine. They really want this inevitable
stuff be fixed ASAP!!
I'll appreciate your kind help.
Park
