Hi. I called a few minutes ago to report that users could not log onto any of
the workstations at WHOI. It appears that things are now working ok and I
was able to log on. I noted the following console msg when things weren't
working:
afs: lost contact with file server 18.179.0.30 in cell athena.mit.edu
The workstations seemed to boot ok but logins hung. I don't know if you
folks found and quickly resolved some problem or if this is recurring and
transient. Can someone follow up on this for me? Thanks again for your help.
