Severe SGI error in 4-035

I have noticed that without fail, the machines in the SGI cluster
4-035 do NOT like to compile the programs in the
/os/usr/share/src/Inventor/examples
directory. I copied them to my Athena account on AFS, and simply running
"make" on them reboots the machine. I don't believe that "make" should ever
cause the machine to reboot and would appreciate either a solution or a fix as
soon as possible. Thank you.

P.S. machines this happened on were m4-034-13 and m4-034-12.
