I hate to sound like a pest about this, but there has been a
workstation down in 66-070 for a week now. I sent my original request
to have the machine fixed on Sunday.

I know that some people from Athena came by earlier in the week to
look at the machine, but I don't think anything was done to it.

As the semester comes to a close, it is becoming more important that
we have as many machines working as possible.

Thanks for your help.
John Wilhelmi

One of the workstations in our cluster has been down for several
days now. The original note I sent (over the weekend) to request
repairs is below. I would appreciate it if someone could take a
look at the machine at your earliest convenience.

Hello--

CHEMERS1.MIT.EDU, 18.63.0.59, has been down for the last day or so. It gives
users the message "workstation failed to activate successfully" followed by a
message in the "console" window suggesting that the machine is in the middle of
an update.

I checked the network connection, and it appears to be fine, so I think we do
have a software problem. I would appreciate it if someone could take a look at
the machine (it's in 66-070) at your earliest convenience.

Thank you.
John Wilhelmi
