1. We have two machines that use 6.4 packs. They are DecStation 3100s. I have
attempted to upgrade one to 7.1, but my instructions say to attach e40-dmusys,
which fails:

  JOURNEYMAN.MIT.EDU% attach e40-dmusys
  Badly formatted filesystem definition
  Operation aborted

A pmax we have that was previously upgraded to 7.0 now refuses to
come out of toehold with an error on e40-dmusys. What do you recommend?

2. We have a file server (for Macs) that is 6.4. To upgrade to 7.* requires
a kernal modification which, to the best of my knowledge, has not been
furnished by Release Engineering. The system administrator for our systems
down here will not be back until the 9th. Can we get this move delayed for
a day or two, while this gets sorted out?
