Hi John,
I just got a chance to try MATLAB on the computers BERKELEY,
WARWICK, and PEMBROKE in 66-070, and I still can't run the software.
The same thing happens as before---after issuing the MATLAB command,
the MATLAB window comes up, but immediately vanishes. All three
computers displayed the message "computer in the middle of an
update, contact Athena operations" in the CONSOLE window during
log on.
If you do have a fix for this bug, I would really appreciate it if
someone could come by soon and take care of it. If not, perhaps we
can talk about getting replacement machines? I only mention this as
several users in the department have been complaining about this
problem, and the computers have been without MATLAB for over a month
now.
Thanks for your help.
John Wilhelmi
