workstation m4-167-5 seems to be disconnected from the network. I
power-cycled the machine; at this point, "test net" reported success, but
the workstation seems to be stuck on its boot-time invocation of gettime.
The workstation is not pingable from outside.
I'd guess there's a network-hardware problem, but the cables all appeared to
be connected properly.
