Hello. I am having a problem with an RS-6000 that was formerly an Athena
machine, but is now being used by our research group. Recently, a user
removed the entire /usr/lpp/X11/Xamples/bin directory in attempt to
conserve disk space (not knowing that this directory contains most of the
binaries necessary for running X windows). Now, the computer can't be
used to run any X-application.
I was wondering if I could possibly get the files that *should* be in
that directory from one of your machines, or possibly just completely
reinstall the AIX from diskettes that you might have. (We don't have any
of the software installation diskettes, as the computer was originally an
Athena machine.)
Any help you may have to offer would be greatly appreciated....
