At approximately 2:10 am this morning August 22 I was running
workman and listening to a cd. I stopped the cd on workman and clicked
on the eject button. The cd did not eject. I pushed the button on the
cd-rom and nothing happened. My workstation froze, so I rebooted. After
rebooting, the cd rom wouldn't eject my cd no matter what happened. I
tried eject /cdrom, pushing the eject button, and running workman again
to eject the cd, but nothing worked. A friend of mine who used to work
for olc logged me in as root, but he accomplished nothing (I'm not sure
what he tried because he didn't communicate with me very well). I would
like my cd back and I don't know what's wrong. When I type eject /cdrom
I can' hear the motor but nothing happens (the cd doesn't eject). Please
help!
