On July 31 and August 1 (Monday and Tuesday) Beacon Construction will open
Building 56 for any member of the MIT Community that is interested in
salvage material.
The hours will be 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. on both days. Pick up tags in the
lobby of Building 56 before going into the building. Any material you are
interested in should be either moved out directly or tagged with your name,
phone number and location. On Wednesday, August 2, Beacon will move the
tagged materials to the North side of Building 56 for pick-up. If it is
not retrieved by 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, it will be put in the dumpster for
disposal. All materials taken from the building can only be re-used on MIT
