I believe the drive is probably working. (I haven't been into that
cluster for months.) Someone from the Athena software bug report
e-mail address was digging into the backlog and asked what had ever
happened with the drive.
So, let's all assume it's working and drop this topic.

Hi Geoffrey-
I remember the problem you reported with m37-318-4. The DEC engineer had come
out and replaced the drive, you tried it and said it still did not work. Myself
and John Chase came out and found that the engineer had not connected one of the
cables to the drive. When John and I left that day the drive was working fine,
so is it now broken again?
