Dear Sir/Madam,
since Friday July 14, 1995, I have been unable to connect to or from
the computers I have access to in MIT building 66 over the internet. This is
causing me serious problems with my research as I do this every day.
For example, when I try to telnet from al-forno to kumera.mit.edu I get the
following error message.
Trying 18.63.0.36...
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection timed out
I used to forward my mail to kumera but I have had to use the
chpobox -p
command to revert to athena for my email.
Could you please let me know when the probelm is likely to be resolved so that
I can organise my time effectively.
