problems with the printer "adler" on server "monet"...

Hi folks,
print jobs get stuck in the spooler and won't come out. The
printer seems unaware of them. The printer is an HP IV MV with
Jetdirect. It runs just like a 4si, and was working fine all spring
semester but now has stopped.
I've done various combinations of restarting daemons, flushing
queues, etc. to no avail.
Can anyone with a little more experience try to check it out?
I'll be in New Hampshire all next week, but I'll be trying to read
mail every now and then with Tether. The server should be
klogin'able by ops people...
let me know if we can make any progress on this...
