Eudora 2.1.2 problem

Hello,
I was upgrading from the shareware version of Eudora 1.3a8k (I need Kerberos)
to the commercial version I just bought. Eudora stopped working and now gives
me various errors. I did check the User's Guide and after a long search found
two notes which recommended that if I use a plug-in (I did not think of
Kerberos as a plug-in) I should drag the Kerberos plug-in into the Eudora
Folder inside my System Folder.
These notes are on pages 2 and 3 of the User's Guide, not with any Kerberos
reference.
So, my situation now: version 1.3a8k works fine.
Version 2.1.2 refuses to fetch mail and gives various errors, e.g.
Server nor responding, -23015 {37:101}
or
Cannot communicate with Kerberos. -20021, {30:2703}
The number on my floppies is 65-6989-1. This might be my 'site number'.
Could you help me, please.
