We plan to install new default versions of Sun Codecenter and the Sun
C and FORTRAN compilers (and SparcWorks) at 9 AM on Tuesday, June 13.
At that time, those packages will be temporarily unavailable for up to
half an hour (possibly less). Compilations in progress during the
change will almost certainly crash.
After the update, "add codecenter; xcodecenter" will get Codecenter
4.1, the new version. The old (4.0.2) one will still be available by
doing "add codecenter.old; xcodecenter".
Doing "add sunsoft" followed by "suncc myprog.c" or "f77 myprog.f" will
use the new (3.0.1) compilers. Doing "add sunsoft.old" will use the old
(2.0.1) versions.
(To those in the know: the new versions have already been around for
some time, accessible with "add codecenter.new" or "add sunsoft.new"
respectively. This change is just changing the default version).
