What were you trying to do?
First off, I'm a consultant. A user was pulling up a postscript figure
using ghostview.
What's wrong:
They say that whenever try try to pull up a postscript file that
involves graphics, an information box with errors comes up. The
information box says:
> Error: /undefinedfilename in --file--
Operand stack:
3 1 /Symbol -marktype- {} /Encoding /SymbolEncoding 352839 (gs_sym_e.ps)\
(r)
Execution stack:
%interp_exit --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- false --nostri\
ngval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- %loop_continue --nostri\
ngval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- false \
--nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- false --nostringval-- --nostrin\
gval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval--
Dictionary stack:
531/547 0/20 43/200 271/400 531/547 0/8 7/13 13/13
Current file position is 2490
The never make a reference to gs_sym_e.ps, though, in their postscript
file. In addition, this only happens on m4-035-15.mit.edu.
What should have happened:
The file should have come up. It comes up on other
workstations, and prints fine. I think it even prints from that
workstation.
