I compared the outputs of the commands "ls /usr/lib" on the workstations
w20-575-107 and w20-575-108. They seem to be noticeably different,
particularly with respect to missing libraries on w20-575-107. In the past,
I've found cluster SGIs which seemed to be really messed up. This is just
another example.
Do the SGIs have a feature installed which randomly deletes files from the
local filesystem, or something? :-)
(I originally noticed that there was something wrong when
/afs/athena/contrib/perl/p died with this error:
