  Hello Net-helpers,

	Please forward this to telecom....

Steve Ellis , 3-3132, has a Sun Classic on a dual xcever
on drop #37-387-1. The sun gets intermittent "no carrier -
Cable disconnected" errors in the console window. When this
happends, remote users get booted from the machine.

I have swapped the entire cpu and UTP cable. I also had the
UTP cable directly into the cpu.

I suspect a bad network drop. These problems started when
the Sun was swapped in for a DecStation. I belive the Suns are
more sensitive to cable length and disturbances on the network line.

Please fix and keep Hotline informed...

 Thanks,
   John
